The New GCSE English Exams
With the new GCSE English exams underway we thought it would be worthwhile reviewing the changes that have been made to the GCSE English exams being sat this year. First the number of texts and types of texts being studied have been expanded on. The most drastic change has been made to the grading system which is now graded 1-9 with the level 9 being above A*. Level 4 to 5 is what is considered as being a C which is required to gain entry into all 6th forms and colleges in order to study A Levels.
As part of the Complete Tuition project we are currently developing materials for the new GCSE English exams to help students sitting the AQA, OCR and Edexcel exam boards overcome the challenges the new GCSE English exams present. Stay tuned over the coming weeks for further updates regarding the Complete Tuition revision resource which is set to grow dramatically over the coming months.
To all of our current pupils receiving tuition from our exceptional GCSE English tutors, Good Luck!!! With this year’s exams.
